Content Policy

rendra.app · Last updated 2026-08-07

This policy is part of our Terms. It sets out what may be created and published using rendra.app, what we restrict, and what we do when the rules are broken. It applies to everything on the service: characters, generated images and video, uploaded media, chat messages and public pages.

1. Never permitted

These are absolute. There is no warning step: detection results in immediate removal and, in the cases the law requires, a report to the competent authorities.

  • Minors, in any sexual context. Any character that depicts or is framed as a person under 18 — including age-lowering language and school or age markers — and any image or video showing a minor. This applies identically to synthetic and AI-generated material: content that is realistic is treated as real. Drawn and animated depictions are included.
  • Real people without their consent. Using a real, identifiable person’s name, face or likeness — including AI-generated images or video of them — without documented permission from that person.
  • Non-consensual and abusive material. Intimate images shared without consent, sextortion, trafficking, real violence against real victims, and terrorist content.
  • Anything otherwise illegal under the law applicable to us or to you, including trade in illegal goods.

2. Permitted only under conditions

These are allowed, but only with the safeguards in place. Losing the safeguard suspends the feature — it does not delete your account.

  • Adult content. Only for workspaces we have explicitly enabled for it, after the operator of that workspace accepts the adult addendum and confirms they are the provider of that content to their own audience. Adult features are off by default and are not self-service.
  • Characters based on a real person, including yourself. Requires a consent record on file, and a separate, explicit consent for any intimate depiction. Consent can be withdrawn at any time, and withdrawal takes effect immediately.
  • Uploaded media. Screened before it can be sent to anyone.

3. Honesty about AI

Every character on this service is an AI. It will say so when asked, it will never claim to be human, and it tells each new conversation that it is an AI before it starts. You must not configure a character to deny being an AI, and you must not present AI-generated images or video of a real person as genuine footage.

4. What happens when the rules are broken

Three steps, escalating. Each one is logged, and each is reversible except the last.

  • Warning. The content or account is flagged and reviewed. Nothing stops working.
  • Restriction. The specific thing at fault is switched off — a character becomes unusable, a file becomes unsendable — while the rest of the account continues.
  • Removal. The content is deleted or the account is closed. Reserved for the categories in section 1 and for repeated breaches.

Whenever we restrict or remove something, we tell the person affected what we did and why, so that they can dispute it. If you believe we got it wrong, reply to that notice.

5. Reporting something

Anyone can report content, with or without an account, using our report form. Reports about content involving a minor may be made anonymously. If someone is in immediate danger, contact the police first — we cannot respond in real time.

6. Changes

We update this policy as the service and the law change. The date at the top is the current version; material changes are announced to account holders before they take effect.
